My Story
Eric Mauro’s path to becoming an attorney began with a commitment to service. He joined the U.S. Army as a Cavalry Scout in 2004, and while the military brought him to Texas, it was the community that made him stay. That same sense of service continues to guide him today as he helps families and small business owners plan for the future with clarity and confidence.
Eric’s practice focuses on estate planning, probate, and business law. He was drawn to these areas because they allow him to support people through meaningful life transitions, whether that’s preparing a will, navigating the probate process, or starting and protecting a business. His approach is educational and thorough; he takes the time to explain every step so clients never leave feeling uncertain or overwhelmed.
Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Woman’s University, where he focused on Deaf Education and connecting with underserved communities. He later earned his law degree from Baylor Law School, receiving a distinction in Estate Planning, and went on to complete an LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
His years in the Army taught him the importance of preparation, adaptability, and follow through, values that shape how he practices law today. That military discipline carries into his everyday life as well, whether he’s spending time outdoors with his dogs, traveling with his wife, or smoking barbecue on the weekends.
For Eric, the law isn’t just about documents — it’s about helping people protect what matters most and empowering them to move forward with confidence.
